The 2022 Jeep Compass is offered in Sport, Latitude, Trailhawk and Limited trims. All trims are powered by the same 2.4L 4-cylinder engine, producing 177 horsepower and 172 lb.-feet of torque. The engine features stop-start technology to increase fuel efficiency, and Jeep claims the Compass can deliver up to 31 mpg on the highway. FWD driver versions of the Compass are mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission, while a 9-speed automatic transmission is standard on the AWD. The FWD drive Compass is only available in the Sport and Latitude trims while all of the trims are available in AWD. In 4x4 configuration, the new Compass benefits from two advanced systems -- Jeep Active Drive and Jeep Active Drive Low.
