More viable how? The Honda Civic Natural Gas is one of the only consumer-level vehicles to run on compressed natural gas. In other words, it's been hard to find refueling stations in the pats. But that's all about to change, as Honda is now looking to help dealerships install compressed natural gas stations right on their lots.

"If the dealer had a fueling station, it would really reduce some of that concern for the customer," explains Steve Center, Honda U.S. Vice President for Environmental Business Development. "It's not our place to create infrastructure, but it's a chicken-and-egg situation and we're going to have to nurse that egg along."¹

Of course, this statement isn't to say that the infrastructure for more compressed natural gas refueling stations isn't in the works either. "We're adding stations rapidly," confirms Richard Kolodziej, president of NGV America. Kolodziej goes on to unofficially endorse on-site compressed natural gas pumps at Honda dealerships, saying "If you are in an area where there aren't any fueling stations, this is a great option."¹
