Images and possible official specs of the forthcoming 2012 Honda CR-V were recently disclosed. From the leaked information, we have learned that the CR-V's outer shell will be quite comparable to the CR-V's previous generation, but the CUV will experience a revitalization for the upcoming model year. The 2012 variant initially popped up at the Orange County International Auto Show in Anaheim, California.
The all new 2012 CR-V is scheduled to hit Honda Superstore of Lisle in Lisle, Illinois by the end of the year. Even though there are no drastic changes or redesigns, we promise you next year's variant will not lack any of the greatness the former models have. Since the Japanese automaker introduced the CR-V to the market in 1997 the CUV has been one of the most popular and best-selling vehicles on the road. We are agree with Honda's decision to not drastically change the CR-V, because like the saying goes - if it's not broke, why fix it?
"The 2012 CR-V concept strongly hints at the more dynamic and refined look of the upcoming model," said John Mendel, executive sales VP for American Honda.1
The 2012 crossover will have a more fuel-efficient engine than prior CR-Vs, and will weigh less. The CR-V's interior will be more spacious than ever before.
Even though the 2012 variant will be similar to the 2011 model, the all new 2012 model will obtain a much more aggressive look than previous models. We are very excited to learn what the CUV's official fuel-economy is. In any case, Kelley Blue Book has not stopped loving this Honda model, so we know it's going to be great!
